Many Brits have acknowledged on social media that their assumptions about the US were wrong.<\/p>\n

In a string of TikTok\u2019s from across the pond, Brits are earnestly sharing their\u00a0experience in the US<\/a> and revealing the media in their country \u201cpaint this weird narrative\u201d about Uncle Sam.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmerica is nothing like what the media tells us,\u201d said World Cup traveler Oliver Henry, on TikTok as @oliver.henry.w,\u00a0in a recent post<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Some of those tales told: Americans are rude, inhospitable, unsafe and proud \u2014 just to name a few. But folks are spotting a different side to the country, and falling in love.<\/p>\n

Host cities have been welcoming outsiders with open arms as they\u00a0take our commonplace<\/a>\u00a0for wonder. Our red fire trucks, Walmart, Buc-ee\u2019s and free refills have tourists in awe of our heartland.<\/p>\n

\u201cHundreds of thousands of fans for the World Cup are now seeing America through their own eyes, realizing the narrative they\u2019ve been fed is false,\u201d a\u00a0Brit living in America<\/a>, who goes by imjoshfromengland2 on TikTok, said.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWe\u2019ve all seen the videos of the\u00a0Europeans experiencing America<\/a>\u00a0for what it truly is, and it\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s right. Recently, a\u00a0German soccer fan went viral<\/a>\u00a0for posting videos documenting his newfound love affair with America\u2019s hotspots.<\/p>\n

Freddy, who posts on X as @FreddyLA7, shared his six-week World Cup road trip across the Southern United States, where he visited \u201cthe holy land,\u201d or as we call it, Taco Bell.<\/p>\n

He also\u00a0gave Waffle House<\/a>\u00a0a glowing review after his 1 a.m. dining tour.<\/p>\n

Followers of his all-American tour have flooded the comment section, offering up more staples for him to scour. X users are now begging the soccer (fan) star to hit up Grand Rapids, Philadelphia, and Lake Erie for a food tour.<\/p>\n
