In Wilson\u2019s motion, defense attorneys argue that their client\u2019s alleged involvement is confined to the August 2022 shooting attempt targeting rapper Quando Rondo in Los Angeles. The incident resulted in the death of Saviay\u2019a Robinson, a close friend and distant cousin of Quando Rondo, who was fatally struck during the shooting.<\/p>\n
Wilson\u2019s legal team contends that what began as a case centered on a single shooting has since expanded into a sweeping racketeering prosecution that incorporates multiple violent incidents spanning several states. According to the filing, prosecutors have linked the case to a 2019 shooting in Atlanta, an alleged 2021 attempted murder involving Quando Rondo in Blackshear, Georgia, and a 2022 homicide in Chicago.<\/p>\n
Defense attorneys emphasize that neither Wilson nor Lindsey is accused of involvement in the Chicago killing and argue that trying all defendants together could unfairly prejudice jurors by exposing them to allegations unrelated to their clients.<\/p>\n
