Christa Pike has spoken out following her botched execution, saying she is recovering but remains deeply hurt by what she described as the incompetence of those responsible.

In a statement released by her attorneys on Friday, Pike said she had been “deeply hurt by the incompetence” surrounding the failed execution attempt.

According to her legal team, Pike dictated the message herself, expressing her feelings about the incident and the experience she endured.

She also confirmed that she is currently recovering, although the ordeal has clearly left a significant impact on her.

The statement has drawn attention to serious concerns surrounding the execution process and the treatment of individuals subjected to such procedures.

Further details about Pike’s recovery and the circumstances surrounding the botched execution may emerge as her legal team continues to address the matter.
