SHANDONG, China<\/strong> \u2014 Fuzai, China’s first-ever corgi police dog, has once again captured the hearts of millions after his first annual performance review ended with an unexpected twist: his bonus was taken away.<\/p>\n

Born in August 2023<\/strong>, Fuzai joined the Weifang Public Security Bureau<\/strong> in Shandong Province as a reserve explosives-detection dog when he was just four months old. Despite his short legs and adorable appearance, the talented corgi quickly proved he had an exceptional nose for detecting explosives.<\/p>\n

By October 2024<\/strong>, Fuzai had officially graduated to become a fully qualified police dog, making history as China’s first corgi to serve in the role.<\/p>\n

His latest performance review, however, became an internet sensation for a very different reason.<\/p>\n

In a video released by local police, an officer praised Fuzai for boosting public awareness of police dogs and presented him with a red flower, canned treats, and a selection of toys as a reward for his service.<\/p>\n

But the ceremony took an amusing turn when the officer announced Fuzai’s “misconduct.”<\/p>\n

According to the review, the corgi had been caught sleeping while on duty<\/strong> and had also urinated in his own food bowl<\/strong>. As a playful consequence, the officer confiscated the treats and toys right in front of him, leaving Fuzai with only the ceremonial flower.<\/p>\n

“Hope you make more persistent efforts in the future,” the officer joked.<\/p>\n

The lighthearted disciplinary moment quickly went viral across Chinese social media, where thousands of users rushed to defend the lovable police dog. Many argued that Fuzai deserved his rewards despite his minor mistakes, while one supporter even offered to send him three boxes of snacks.<\/p>\n

Following the overwhelming public response, police reassured fans that Fuzai hadn’t gone without a reward after all. Behind the scenes, they had already treated him to plenty of snacks, including a special version of a traditional Chinese delicacy prepared especially for dogs.<\/p>\n
