Love on the Spectrum\u00a0<\/i>star<\/a>\u00a0Adan Correa\u00a0<\/b>unexpectedly found love with fellow Netflix star\u00a0Melissa Ramirez<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been great getting to know each other,\u201d Adan, 30, gushed on the Wednesday, July 15, episode of the \u201cOff the Record\u201d\u00a0podcast<\/span><\/a>. \u201cIt definitely helps that we live close by \u2026 [and] we have become a couple.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adan and ex\u00a0Dani Bowman\u00a0<\/b>broke up\u00a0<\/b>during season 3 over conflicting views on pre-marital sex and intimacy. Melissa, for her part, had gone on multiple dates with\u00a0Dylan Aguilar<\/b>\u00a0during season 4.<\/p>\n

While Adan and Melissa\u00a0didn\u2019t cross paths on the show<\/a>, they became friends when the cameras stopped rolling.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really nice actually. We really, really didn\u2019t think [dating] was gonna happen,\u201d Melissa stated. \u201cWe were friends, we had a good friendship and we hanged [sic] out, and I wanted to meet him.\u201dAdan and Melissa first met in person at an Encino, California, premiere of a fan-made\u00a0Star Wars\u00a0<\/i>project.<\/p>\n

At the time I was polite, I was friendly. I had not seen [her] season yet,\u201d Adan recalled. \u201cAfter seeing the premiere and getting to know her, finding out she was on the fourth season, I was like, \u2018Oh my gosh, she\u2019s the newest cast member.\u2019 After that, we began hanging out, going to Universal Studios and being there to support her when she sang \u2026 [as an alumni at her] high school\u2019s graduation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eventually, Adan and Melissa\u2019s friendship turned romantic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t see it coming,\u201d he admitted. \u201cWe got to know each other and then mutual friends \u2026 told us, \u2018You have so much in common. I can definitely see it.\u2019 We took it slow, got to know each other more. Many people around [us] saw the signs, but we didn\u2019t see it at first. It\u2019s beautiful how it turned out.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Melissa, she is equally \u201cexcited\u201d about her blossoming romance away from the cameras.\u201cIt feels natural, it feels more calm,\u201d Adam added of finding love outside of the Netflix series. \u201cDon\u2019t get me wrong, I had a beautiful experience on the series. Though that first experience didn\u2019t work out, I\u2019m glad I found love getting to know Melissa \u2018cause \u2026 [I knew] what I was looking for in a relationship, what boundaries I was willing to set, so that was a good experience and it helped me prepare for this one.\u201d<\/p>\n

elissa further acknowledged that she and Adan share many of the same values and interests.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re in the same boat,\u201d she said. \u201cWe like the same things, we have things in common.
