Elliot Page Opens Up About Challenging Role as Sinon in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey

Actor Elliot Page has shared his thoughts on portraying Sinon in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming epic film The Odyssey, revealing that the emotionally demanding role left him feeling “terrified.”

Speaking about the experience, Page explained that his biggest concern was doing justice to a character whose story explores the devastating realities of war and violence.

“The impacts of war, the brutality of war and violence. And so I think I was just terrified and just wanting to make sure I did an okay job and pulled it off in the movie,” Page said.

Unlike Odysseus, the legendary Greek hero at the center of Homer’s Odyssey, Sinon is a character drawn from Virgil’s Aeneid. In classical mythology, Sinon is remembered for his role in the fall of Troy, where his deception helped convince the Trojans to bring the infamous wooden horse inside the city’s walls—a decision that ultimately led to Troy’s destruction.
